We've been having a lot of change going on around here. Last week, Nate passed his nursing licensure test. I'm so proud of him and of Amelia and the boys. They've all sacrificed and worked hard to put him through school and now they can get going on a new phase of life. I'm so happy for them!
Last week our ward was divided. It was time. We had over 600 people in the ward. We had around 110 young men and young women. We had over 160 primary kids. It was so crowded in the halls that we sometimes achieved gridlock. It was time. But change can be hard. I'm sure the boundaries were determined by inspiration. When it was all said and done, we were still the Canterberry Ward. And the new Legend ward was formed. It will be a great ward. Our ward will also be great. Our ward ended up with only 38 ym/yw and 60 something primary kids. We also have the opportunity to reach out and serve because we have plenty of people in our ward without the priesthood in their homes. The girls will grow closer to the other young women in the ward and will probably have an opportunity to be leaders or be involved more. We'll also be able to get to know some of the rest of the ward members better. Change can be hard, but it will end up being great.
